JOYO JF-06 Vintage Phase

JOYO JF-06 Vintage Phase

Video Demo created by: Aaron Holland, very good guitar player with chops for days...and a cool dude!

What can I say Aaron take the pedal through its paces... the vintage phase sounds great, distorted or clean it does its job. The only drawback is the lack of control, it basically has 1 knob..."SPEED" to get your PHASE! on ;)

You cannot define the depth or mix of the effects but for $38 it is better an its MXR equivalent.

Buy this and use the savings to buy more effects ;)

JOYO SWEET BABY OVERDRIVE JF-36

JOYO SWEET BABY OVERDRIVE JF-36

Playing, description and mini review created by Jesse Canarte, a real nice guy and a killer guitar player!

This is the new pedal from the Joyo Co, which makes an inexpensive yet very respectable versions of familiar effects. The SB is a low gain/drive for subtle or natural pushed break up amp drive.

The consensus is that it is geared toward a Fender Blackface tone, I personally was looking for something just like this to go with my tone. I'm using a SG and 66' Super Reverb. On this demo I left the settings throughout- only changing how hard I hit the strings and show dynamics of this pedal.

JOYO JF-33 Analog Delay

JOYO JF-33 Analog Delay

Green in color, awesome on the eyes and the ears.
Very Smooth… Very Warm.  Is it the best delay I have ever played?  …nope.  Is it the best delay I have ever played for the money YES, YES and YES.  Sound, warmth and control like this for around $60 is unheard of.  This unit will not disappoint.

Each generation of echo is a little less cohesive than the previous, it really gives the impression of the echo falling away… changing slightly.
It simply does not sound like an exact representation of the previous sound, the way a Digital Delay would.  This pedal gives illusions of an analog process, and degeneration with every repeat.

I really like it and you will as well.  If you are in the market for an Analog Delay stop looking and buy 1 or 2 of these.

I’m giving it 5 out of 5 stars stars stars stars stars stars

JOYO JF-34 US Dream

JOYO JF-34 US Dream

Well this one had me intrigued, even if I was put off a bit by its purple out of the box presentation.
But I do not have any other purple pedals so, well, what the hell.  Let’s plug it in…

This pedal fills a nice niche in the JOYO line-up.  It is versatile, more so than maybe any of the other “NEW” 2012 Joyo offerings.  It can go from slightly warm to a bit overdriven to capt’n crunch-olla.
Tone knob seems very sensitive, which is great for dialing in the right tone.  I found it very useful for shaping the exact tone I was looking for.  I am sure this will help anyone with any setup to get a great sound…unique to them, their playing and gear.

Favorite setting- Volume: 50% / Distortion:20% / Tone: 25% = Amazing sound for a slightly dirty, but very clearly defined tone.  Hints at breaking up over time, but the initial pluck is clear, and shimmering.  Very sensitive to the attack of the strings, the more you dig into it the more harsh it is.  The softer the attack to the strings the clearer it becomes.  All in all the US Dream is very nice and expressive.  Lots of room here for dynamics.
This pedal overall seems to be very transparent it wants to give me the sound I am trying to give to it.  In the same type of way a VHT amplifier tries to be very microphonic, transparent and sensitive.

You will be able to express yourself with this pedal, you might not like the results but it will give you exactly what you give it.

I give it 4 out of 5 Barney the dinosaurs.
